[Mac] 10 Basic Mac OS X Keyboard Shortcuts

You’re no Mac power user until you learn your keyboard short cuts. Keyboard shortcuts make you more productive, and save tons of time. Once you master these combinations, you will NEVER go back to point and click again!

CMD = (Command key) – Sometimes called “Apple key”; on Apple keyboards this key also has an Apple logo ()

  • CMD-C : Copy
  • CMD-V : Paste
  • Windows-` : Switch between same Application
  • F11 - Hide all windows
  • F9 - Show all windows
  • F12 - Open/Close Dashboard
  • CMD-H – Hide application
  • CMD-Q – Quit application
  • CMD-Shift-D – Open Desktop
  • CMD-F – Search term in Web browser
