[iPhone] Unlock the iPhone 3G S

According to the iPhone Dev Team, the new version of Redsnow, the multi-platform unlocking tool for the iPhone 2G and iPhone 3G, has been updated for the iPhone 3GS.

Download Redsnow tool here: ThePirateBay.

Once downloaded, follow these steps:

Download the iPhone 3GS firmwareprovided by Apple [Part1| Part2]

Extract the rar-archive with WinRar or UnrarX such that it makes up into one file.

Open Redsnow and follow the on-screen instructions to Jailbreak the device.

Once Jailbroken, fire-up Cydia and add repo repo666.ultrasn0w.com (I explained how to add sources in this previous post)

Now in Cydia, search for ‘Ultrasnow’ and install it.

Restart your iPhone 3GS.
