Windows 7 Released to Manufacturing!

July 23rd, 2009

I’ve been using Windows 7 for over a month now. I had decided to give RC1 a try and I am VERY impressed.

Win7 feels just as stable as XP, and I love its ability to fix itself. Yes- fix itself. This feature is nothing new, but it actually works in Win7. I gave the feature a chance when my sound driver crashed, and it fixed the problem, I tried its configuration suggestion for an old webcam, and it was able to get it installed and working.

Now, we are pleased to announce that Windows 7 has been released to manufacturing (RTM).

Build 7600 was the sign off to RTM- which pretty much means that RC1 users are experiencing the official Win 7 (pretty much).

I am a Mac enthusiast, and I love my Win7 PC :D

General availability will be October 22nd, 2009.
