If you’re in the mood to change the look and feel of your OS X Leopard dock, then Dock Library by Dative Studios is for you. It takes the pain away from customizing the dock with this easy to use tool.
Just download some dock styles from sites like http://www.leoparddocks.com/, or http://www.leoparddocks.net/, and import them into Dock Library.
Once you get some styles in your library, you’re just a click away from changing the look of your dock. No hunting through hidden system directories, just select the dock you want and click “Activate”.
Dock Library can be download here.

There’s never been a better time to buy a Mac than now. With the Intel processor setup Apple has decided to go with- it can run Windows! Some tests have actually shown that Windows runs better on a Mac, than it does on other OEMs such as Dell, HP, and Toshiba.
Some of you Mac owners may have been curious about how the world of Windows was looking with Windows 7. Well, you can try it on your Mac! (Intel Macs only).

Here is an easy step-by-step guide on getting it started:
- Make sure you have at least 35 – 50 gigs of free hard drive space on your Mac. Windows 7 will use 15-25 gigs, and you obviously need a decent amount of free space for Mac use as well.
- Go to this Microsoft page and register to download the Windows 7 Release Candidate for free. MS will send you your own unique serial number, keep it somewhere handy- you WILL need it.
- Download the 32-bit version of Windows 7- it’s weighs in at over 2 gigs, so it may take a while.
- Burn the .ISO file to a DVDR. This will be your install disk. You can use OS X’s Disk Utility tool to burn the .ISO (under Applications > Utilities). Directions here.
- Start the Boot Camp Utility (Applications > Utilities) – it will walk you through the entire install process. Use the DVD you burned earlier to install Windows 7 after Boot Camp is done partitioning your drive. Your Mac WILL reboot a few times during installation, do not worry.
- Once Windows 7 has been installed, you will be asked for your serial number (Activation key). Enter the key Microsoft sent you.
- Once you’ve activated the product, and you’re in Windows, insert the OS X Installation disk. Go to ‘Computer’ > click on your DVD-Rom drive, and setup will begin installing your drivers. This will set up the sound, video, Camera, and other hardware.
To switch between the Mac and Windows OS, just hold the ‘Option’ key while the computer is restarting (hold ‘Option’ before you hear the Mac hum sound), and it will allow you to choose between the two.
If you decide to get rid of Windows on your Mac- it’s even easier to uninstall it! Just go back to the Boot Camp utility in Mac OS X, and delete the Windows partition. That’s it!

UPDATE: I installed it and played with it quite a bit and it is super snappy. The camera has noticeably improved. The YouTube app is sooo much better with the ability to sign in to your YT account. You can comment, rate, and flag videos straight from the app. Plus it gives you access to your favorites which is great!
The Copy and Paste in very nicely done. Just tap on the block of text, and drag the copy box around the portion of text you want, and simply tap “Copy”. I will keep playing with it and keep updating the post if I find anything interesting.

The iPhone 3G S is out June 19th, 2009. Same glossy design- MORE FASTER. Here is an in depth summary of its features:
a special thanks to Jesus Diaz of Gizmodo for this information!
Speed
The “S” stands for “SPEED!” And according to Apple, it is faster launching applications or rendering Web pages.
• The iPhone 3GS has a new processor built-in. Apple claims that it is up to two times faster than the previous generation: Launching messages is 2.1 faster, load the NY Times in Safari: 2.9 times faster. It also consumes less, which has an impact on the improved battery life.
Camera
This is one of the strong points of the iPhone 3GS, according to Apple. They increased the resolution to 3 megapixels, which—judging from the shots they showed-seems much better quality under all conditions.
• 3 Megapixels sensor.
• New camera, with auto focus, auto exposure, and auto white balance.
• You can also tap to focus, changing white balance in the process. That is really neat, if you ask me.
• Special macro and low light modes.
• It supports video, 30 frames per second VGA with auto focus, auto white balance, and auto exposure.
• You can trim the video shot just using your finger, then share it via MMS, email, MobileMe and YouTube.
Connectivity
The other part of the “S” is the support for the faster 7.2 Mbps 3G standard, which in theory will deliver data faster to your iPhone.
• Same design as before, including the glossy finish of the back (so much for all the rumors about the matte back.)
• Same size as the old iPhone 3G: 4.5 x 2.4 x 0.48 inches.
• The weight increases a bit: One ounce to 4.8 ounces (135 grams vs 133 grams).
• Greener materials: Arsenic-free glass, BDF-free, Mercury-free LCD.
• Three band UMTS/HSDPA.
• Four band GSM/EDGE.
• Wi-Fi 802.11b/g.
• Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
Graphics
• The new iPhone 3GS includes new 3D graphics support in hardware. This means faster and more complicated 3D games.
• Same 3.5-inch widescreen multitouch display, but this time it has a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating. I wonder if it will withstand a full frontal Shake Shack burger attack.
• The camera also supports photo and video geotagging.
• Any application can access all the camera functions now.
New special features
• It has a compass application, which works with the included magnetometer. It’s integrated into the new maps, showing orientation with a small semitransparent cone.
• Voice control. You can now talk with your iPhone, Enterprise-style. You can instruct it to play similar songs to the one you are playing, or call people.
• Nike + support built in.
• Supports accessibility features, like zooming on text, inverting video, and voice over when you touch whatever text is on screen.
Battery life
• One of the more important new features is the increased battery life.
• According to Apple, you will get up to 12 hours of talk time on 2G and 5 on 3G, with a up to 300 hour standby time.
• On 3G, it will deliver 5 hours of internet use.
• On Wi-Fi, Internet goes up to 9 hours.
• Video playback is 10 hours vs 30 hours for audio.
Price and availability
• $199 for 16GB version.
• $299 for 32GB version.
• Available on June 19th.
If you are “a valued AT&T customer,” AT&T offers an “early iPhone upgrade with a new 2-yr commitment and an $18 upgrade fee.” The price? $399.00 for the 16GB iPhone 3G S and $499.00 for the 32GB iPhone 3G S. It gets worse: For non-qualified customers, including existing AT&T customers who want to upgrade from another phone or replace an iPhone 3G, the price with a new two-year agreement is $499 (8GB), $599 (16GB), or $699 (32GB).
