Microsoft Office 2010 Officially Released
Good news for you busy beavers. You favorite office productivity suite is here, and better than ever. You can have a look at some cool new features here. I haven’t had the chance to really play with it yet- but I will have to soon, since I currently use Office 2007.
Here is the pricing structure for the new suite:
- Office Home and Student (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote) – $149.99
- Office Home and Business (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote) – $279.99
- Office Professional (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, Access and OneNote) – $499.99

Facebook Integration Now Available
We all have a Facebook account by now, right? What if I told you that TheComputerBoss was adopting the new Facebook Connect platform? Today, I completed the integration, and this is what it means for you:
Want to comment on a post but don’t want to register a user account here? Just click the Facebook login button at the comment section, and post comments using you existing Facebook profile, and add it to your news-feed.
Like a post, and want to share it within your Facebook community? Just press the “Like” button at the bottom of the post. It will register your “Like” to the site, and also add it to your Facebook news-feed!
Just 1 more way I hope to make your tCB experience more smoother- thanks for the support!

iPhone Optimized Version of our Site Now Available!
For those of you with iPhones, and iPod Touches- you can now read our blog more easily, and elegantly. Just point mobile Safari to our URL, and you will be presented with the the Computer Boss, iPhone Web-app version of the site. If you would prefer the full site instead, just scroll down and turn the “Mobile Theme” switch to “OFF”

Google Finally Enables Real-Time Search
Google has finally enabled Real-Time search. What is it you ask? It’s a section of the search-results page which shows real time updates, Tweets, Posts, and more on the hot buzz words, or sentences you’ve searched for. This feature is better explained in the video below- enjoy.

N64 Emulator for the iPhone
Wow- jailbroken iPhones really stick it to Nintendo even more! The iPhone is quickly becoming a powerful gaming machine. So powerful, Sony and Ninetendo are really feeling it in the handheld gaming sector.
A YouTube user by the name of NWorksDev has posted a video on his page of an iPhone running Super Mario 64 on an early version N64 emulator (3G4) for the iPhone.
Here is the video description:
“So far, the product seems to run freaking flawlessly.
The only problems i’m running into is duplicate button registers, delay of presses, and crashes when heavy gameplay occurs. Still looking to fix this. Until then enjoy this vid. Beta testers needed soon. Interested?”
Readers on many blogs have been debating on whether the video is real, or fake. In my opinion, this seems very possible to do.
I’ve seen many games on the Apple App Store which look just as advanced, if not, more than games I’ve played on the N64.
I guess only time will tell…

iPhone OS 3.1.2 is Out Now
Apple has released a much-needed patch: iPhone OS 3.1.2 is out and it solves the sleep issue—in which the iPhone refused to wake up—brought in by the previous version.
Here is the list of fixes:
• Resolves sporadic issue that may cause iPhone to not wake from sleep
• Resolves intermittent issue that may interrupt cellular network services until restart
• Fixes bug that could cause occasional crash during video streaming
I really hope this fixes the battery life issue 3.1 brought to the 3G S!
After updating, iTunes will invite you to download AT&T Carrier Settings 5.6.
