There are many computer ports an IT guy, or any computer enthusiast must be familiar with. Sata, PCI, PCI-Express, IDE,SCSI, okay I’m getting carried away here.
But even I need a recap at times, when the computer I’m working on is an older model that I’ve gotten rusty with– until now. Check out the image below. It’s a really big image, displaying all the ports you need to know, along with the name of the port. Keep this handy, you may need it.

When we think search engines, the first thing that comes to mind is definitely Google. I’ve been looking into netbooks all of this month, and yesterday I took the plunge. I was looking into the Dell Minis, the HPs, Lenovos, and the Asus Eee. I decided to go with the Asus because of rave reviews I’ve been reading, and the huge community support for the Eee lineup.
The Eee 1005HAB cost me a cool $299.99, and I went with the midnight blue model. At a glance it looks black. This is a very sleek looking unit no doubt. It’s very compact, rounded, and glossy.

Tiverias Apps has just released GPush to the Apple App Store. GPush allows you to sign in to your GMail account through the app, and have it send you Push Notifications when new email is received. This feature worked well in my tests- but some people are reporting issues with the notifications not coming in on time. Their server may be overloaded with this new release, and this should be resolved shortly. You can download GPush (iTunes Link) for $.99 cents.
